The Philip Smith Centre: a place for Learning

A history of the Philip Smith Centre, a building which has been at the centre of education training and 'a place for learning' for over a hundred years. Chapters by seven contributors: Michael Roe, Richard Davis, Ralph Spaulding, David Dilger, Brian Hortle, Kathy Turner and Leone Scrivener, and there is an interesting appendix by Des Hanlon, 'A Brief History of the Hobart Domain'. The book has been edited by Michael Roe and Leone Scrivener and designed by Gillian Ward. It is available for purchase from U3A Hobart for $25.
